About Hyperbolic Tapering

Hyperbolic Tapering Q&A

Many clients wish to take medications on a short term basis, or would like to decrease their current medication regimen. Discontinuing these medications quickly can lead to uncomfortable symptoms such as anxiety, sensory disturbances, insomnia or flu-like illness. Recommended tapering often lasts 7-10 days and is limited by dosages available.

Hyperbolic tapering allows for very small dose reductions in order to alleviate discontinuation symptoms. This process occurs over a period of weeks to months and is done in collaboration with a pharmacy to obtain accurate dosing.
